These are the remains of Rishabh Pant's car following the accident. Pant's car had burst into flames after crashing into a divider. The police later said Pant had fallen asleep while on the wheel
Fortunately, Pant managed to get out of the car and survive in what clearly was a major accident that could have turned fatal for the young cricketer
In a video circulating on social media, Pant is seen bleeding at the site of the accident but he is on his feet. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment
A few hours after the accident, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah shared Pant's health update. The cricketer is stable but has suffered some injuries
Pant has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, apart from injuries in right wrist, ankle and toe
He also has bruises on his back. Pant has been admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun, where he is undergoing scans
The hospital will issue a medical bulletin with further details of his injuries. He is currently under the observation of Orthopedics and plastic surgeons. His condition is stable
