LSG vs RCB match witnessed some ugly arguments between the cricket stars. Virat Kohli seemed to be charged up and extra animated throughout LSG's chase which was touted to be a response to LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir’s ‘over-the-top’ celebrations after they had beat RCB in a previous match

Throughout the match, Virat Kohli was seen screaming, fist-pumping and even putting a finger on his lips and then asking the crowd not to keep quiet

Things, however, started to get heated in the latter half of the LSG chase. In the 17th over, Kohli had heated exchanges with LSG cricketers Amit Mishra and Naveen-ul-Haq, which continued well after the match was finished

BCCI took strict action against Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Naveen-ul-Haq for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during the Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore match at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Monday. Kohli and Gambhir were fined 100% of their match fees after they were found guilty of a Level 2 offence while Naveen-ul-Haq lost 50% of his match fees for his Level 1 offence

On April 10, Lucknow Super Giants was playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. After the final run was scored to secure a victory and the team grabbed the top rank on the points chart, Gautam Gambhir was ecstatic. He was spotted celebrating the win in the team's dugout and putting a finger to his mouth to silence the RCB supporters

Gambhir, Kohli and Naveen admitted to their respective offences and accepted the sanctions. This is not the first time IPL witnessed an on-field spat between the players

One of the most infamous IPL fights in history is the altercation between Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth during a match between the Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab in 2008. After Harbhajan dismissed Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) batsman, Sreesanth, the two players got into a heated argument on the field. Harbhajan was seen slapping Sreesanth and was subsequently suspended for the remainder of the IPL season and fined 100% of his match fees. He was also banned from playing in Indian Cricket League.
