India will face Afghanistan today as both the teams look forward to strengthening their position in the World Cup points table.

Shubman Gill who was down with dengue has now been discharged from the hospital. The BCCI released this statement saying: “Team India batter Shubman Gill will not be travelling with the team to Delhi on 9th October 2023. The opening batter who missed the team’s first fixture in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia in Chennai is set to miss the team’s next fixture against Afghanistan in Delhi on the 11th of October."

India vs Afghanistan match will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The pitch offers a great advantage to batters as the ball will come nicely on bat. The boundary of this ground is also small so we can expect a lot of runs here.

Avoid Rajghat to JLN Marg, JLN Marg from Kamla Market roundabout to Rajghat, Asaf Ali Road (Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate), and Bahadurshah Zafar Marg (Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate), as per traffic police.
Access gates on the Southern side of the Stadium (Nos. 1-7) via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Gates on the Eastern side (Nos. 8-15) accessible from JLN Marg, near Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal. Gates on the Western side (Nos. 16-18) can be reached from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, close to the Petrol Pump.
BCCI plans to capitalise on the India-Pakistan match with a special event at Narendra Modi Stadium. Arijit Singh is expected to perform in this special ceremony. Invitations have been sent to Sachin Tendulkar, Rajinikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan.
