Benchmark indices on Thursday settled with decent gains, led by buying interest across all sectors. Headline index NSE Nifty closed at 21,658.60-level. Top gainers on the Nifty50 platform were Bajaj Finance, Tata Consumer Products, NTPC, ONGC and IndusInd Bank while losers included Dr Reddy's, BPCL, LTIMindtree, HCL Tech and Hero MotoCorp.
Stocks such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, TCS and Axis Bank were most active on NSE today, in terms of value. Tata Steel, NTPC, ONGC and PowerGrid were the other buzzing stocks on the platform, in terms of volume.
Shares of Sobha Ltd emerged as the top gainer in the NSE 500 index. The stock zoomed 15.7% on NSE today to settle at Rs 1,295.25. At this price, the company commanded a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 12,284.9 crore.
Century Textiles & Industries Ltd shares also soared 12.21% to close at Rs 1,398.25. The company's m-cap came at Rs 15,617.9 crore.
Shares of Mankind Pharma Ltd fell sharply today. The stock dived 3.78% to close at Rs 2,074.05 on Thursday. At this, the company's market cap stood at Rs 83,084 crore.
Syrma SGS Technology shares slipped 3.76% to end the session at Rs 639.05. The company's m-cap came at Rs 11,348.6 crore today.
