Benchmark indices slipped on Tuesday, pausing their three-day winning run. Headline index NSE Nifty settled at 19,407 level. Top losers on the Nifty50 platform were Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel, Divi's Labs and Reliance Industries while gainers included Sun Pharma, BPCL, NTPC, Dr Reddy's and IndusInd Bank.
Stocks such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance, SBI and Reliance Industries were most active on NSE, in terms of value. Tata Steel and ONGC were the other buzzing stock on the platform, in terms of volume.
Shares of KEC International emerged as the top laggard in the NSE 500 index. The stock dived 3.71% on NSE today to settle at Rs 560.2.
Angel One shares declined 3.42% to close at Rs 2,536.55. At this price, the company commanded a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 21,282.4 crore.
Shares of Metropolis Healthcare tanked 3.32% to end at Rs 1,519.35 today. The company's market cap came at Rs 7,782.7 crore.
Shares of Sobha fell 3.26% today to settle at Rs 760.65. The company's market valuation stood at Rs 7,214.5 crore.
Shares of Jyothy Labs rose sharply today. The stock jumped 8.69% to close at Rs 401.4 on Tuesday.
Ratnamani Metals & Tubes shares surged 8.6% to end the session at Rs 3,141.5. The company's m-cap stood at Rs 22,019.4 crore today.
Shares of Trent were also among top gainers in the NSE 500 pack today. The stock gained 8.54% to settle at Rs 2,424. The company's market cap was at Rs 86,170.2 crore.
