VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “The declining bond yields in the US have turned the global market construct favourable for equities. But this is unlikely to create a highly favourable environment in the Indian market since the poor monsoon is becoming a major worry. Unless the rains revive soon, the economy and markets will come under a cloud. Investors may consider tweaking their portfolio with higher weightage for more inflation-proof segments like pharmaceuticals and export oriented sectors like IT."

Shares of Gokaldas Exports slipped 9.48% to Rs 791 today. The stock was the top loser on BSE.  Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 4,876 crore on BSE.

Shares of Sula Vineyards fell over 4% to Rs 486.10 in early deals as 13.1 percent equity changed hands in a block deal on August 31. Around 1.1 crore shares changed hands at an average of Rs 490 apiece, a 3.8% discount to the previous day’s close of Rs 508.70. The transaction was worth Rs 540 crore.

Shares of Aeroflex Industries made a strong debut at Dalal Street as the stock got listed at Rs 197.40, a premium of 83% over its issue price of Rs 108, on BSE. Similarly, the counter kicked-off its maiden trading session at a premium of 76% at Rs 190 on National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of renewable energy firm Suzlon Energy slipped 8.51% from 52-week high to Rs 24.70 on BSE. At 9:28 am, the Suzlon Energy stock was trading 4.17% lower at Rs 24.81. Earlier, the stock scaled a fresh 52-week high for the fourth consecutive session today. Suzlon Energy stock gained 4.3% to Rs 27, a fresh yearly high on BSE.

Shares of BHEL hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 121.45 today. The stock rose after the state-run company said it has secured an order from NTPC for setting up the 2x800 MW supercritical thermal power project Stage-II at Lara in Chhattisgarh through international competitive bidding. The fresh order is in addition to Rs 2,242-crore order from NHPC and Rs 4,000 crore order from a Adani Power arm. 

BHEL 

Shares of Jio Financial Services (JFS), the demerged financial services business of Reliance Industries, gained nearly 5% to Rs 244.30 amid reports that said the firm may exit Sensex today. As per Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research, the stock's exclusion from Sensex is all likely, unless the stock triggers a lower circuit limit. An upper circuit limit may not be a concern, the brokerage added. 

Jio Financial Services 

Shares of Dilip Buildcon gained nearly 9% to Rs 334.40 today. The stock was the top gainer on BSE. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 4,859.45 crore.
