VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “A significant near-term trend in the market now is the sustained selling by FIIs (Rs 10,437 crores) during the last eight trading sessions matched by the sustained buying by DIIs (Rs 10860 crores) in the same period. The domestic market construct continues to be resilient. Thursday’s US CPI inflation print will be keenly watched by markets.”
Shares of Graphite India fell 5% to Rs 440.20 on BSE. Market cap of the graphite electrode maker slipped to Rs 8,600 crore. The company will announce its Q1 earnings on August 10.

Tata Chemicals shares fell over 3% to Rs 1,002.05 after Q1 net profit fell 11.8% to Rs 523 crore in Q1FY24 compared to Rs 593 crore in the same period of FY23. Revenue rose 5.6% to Rs 4,218 crore in Q1FY24 against Rs 3,995 crore in Q1FY23. Market cap of the firm slipped to Rs 25,653 crore.
Shares of Adani Green Energy climbed 4% to Rs in Tuesday's trade after a wholly-owned arm of Qatar Investment Authority emerged as a buyer of 2.7% stake in the Adani firm in a block deal.
Shares of Inox Wind surged over 4% to Rs 224.35 in early deals as a block deal worth Rs 500 crore is likely to be executed today by the promoter entity of Inox Wind to decrease its stake in the wind energy company. The offer price for the deal will be at discount of 5% against the current market price.
Shares of One 97 Communications Limited, which owns Paytm, fell 2% to Rs 832.80 today after the firm said its subsidiary Paytm Payments Services Limited's (PPSL) auditor Price Waterhouse (PwC) has resigned with effect from August 7. SR Batliboi & Associates has been appointed as the statutory auditors of Paytm Payments Services' with effect from August 7. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 52,926 crore
Shares of Gland Pharma zoomed 20% to Rs 1,612.60 today after the firm reported its Q1 earnings. Q1 profit fell 15.2% to Rs 194 crore against Rs 229 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company reported a 41% rise in its revenues to Rs 1,208.6 crore on BSE.
Shares of RateGain Travel Technologies zoomed 19.54% to Rs 578 today. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 6,022 crore on BSE
