Sensex, Nifty trading lower

The domestic equity market was trading lower on Wednesday. Sensex fell 380 points to 71,180 and Nifty lost 104 pts to 21,639.

Banking stocks will be  under pressure

VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “Banking stocks which form the largest chunk of FII holding will be under pressure. The broader market, which is overvalued, will also be impacted by the negative sentiment. Investors may wait and watch for better clarity to emerge.”

IFCI

Shares of IFCI slipped 5% to Rs 53.06 in early trade. The stock was stuck in the lower circuit of 5%. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 13,210 crore. A total of 0.68 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 36.28 crore on BSE.

MTAR Technologies

Shares of MTAR Technologies slipped 12% to Rs 1683 in early trade post Q3 earnings. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 5263 crore. A total of 0.44 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 7.52 crore on BSE.

SJVN

Shares of SJVN rose 9% to Rs 118.45 level on BSE today. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 45,860 crore. A total of 73.48 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a high turnover of Rs 84.02 crore on BSE.

Reliance Infrastructure

Shares of Reliance Infrastructure  zoomed 12% to Rs 238 on BSE. Market cap of Reliance Infrastructure  climbed to Rs 9309.08 crore. A total of 3.95 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 8.95 crore on BSE.

Paytm

Shares of Paytm slipped 10% to a fresh 52 week low of Rs 342.40  on BSE. Paytm's market cap slipped to Rs 21,785 crore. A total of 9.26 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 32.32 crore on BSE.

Genus Power  Infrastructures

Shares of Genus Power slipped 10% to Rs 264.80 on BSE today. Total 0.47 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 1.24 crore. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 6825.90 crore.
