The domestic equity market was trading higher on Friday. Sensex rose 53 points to 71,481 and Nifty gained 25 pts to 21,742.
VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “FII selling and bear onslaught are unlikely to take the market down significantly. There will be strong buying on dips. The sustained flows into mutual funds which are gathering momentum will enable the DIIs to buy aggressively. A good investment strategy now would be to buy the bluechips which FIIs are selling."
Shares of Indian Hotels hit their 52 week high today. The shares gained 2.28% to Rs 537.05 on BSE today. Indian Hotels stock opened higher at Rs 528.85. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 75,755 crore.
Shares of Tata Power slipped 5.76% to Rs 384.05 against the previous close of Rs 407.55 on BSE. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 1.25 lakh crore. The firm will announce Q3 earnings today.
Shares of construction firm NCC Ltd hit their all-time high today after the company reported a 40 percent rise in its consolidated net profit for the December 2023 quarter.The stock rose 4.51% to a high of Rs 229.40 against the previous close of Rs 219.50 on BSE.
Shares of RVNL slipped 11.11% to Rs 250.40 post Q3 earnings. Market cap of RVNL fell to Rs 53,856 crore. A total of 44.39 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 115.57 crore on BSE.
Shares of Power Finance Corp slipped 12% to Rs 411.35 post Q3 earnings. Power Finance market cap slipped to Rs 1.38 lakh crore. A total of 12.34 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 52.84 crore on BSE.
Shares of YES Bank rose to a 52 week high of Rs 32.81 on BSE today. Total 1385.85 lakh shares changed hands amounting to the highest turnover of Rs 435.08 crore. Market cap of the lender climbed to Rs 90,431crore.
Shares of Birla Corporation hit their 52 week high of Rs 1770 in the afternoon session today. The stock rose 11.30% to Rs 1770 on BSE today. Market cap of the firm climbed to Rs 13,275 crore. Birla Corporation saw 0.45 lakh shares changing hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 7.63 crore on BSE.
