Benchmark indices rose in early deals today. Sensex gained 425 pts to 65769 and Nifty added 136 pts to 19,492
VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “The ongoing rally in the market is slowly moving from broad-based rally to specific stock-driven rally. Yesterday, in spite of the weakness in IT and banking majors Nifty rallied by 24 points, driven primarily by RIL. Bharti Airtel and Tata Motors also have been imparting resilience to the rally. There are no major triggers that can take the rally much higher from the present levels. Global cues also are uncertain.”
Shares of APL Apollo Tubes rose 4.11% to Rs 1,361.50 today after the firm said its subsidiary APL Apollo Building Products has been granted incentives worth Rs 500 crore by the Chattisgarh government State Investment Promotion Board. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 36,889 crore
Shares of Power Finance rose nearly 2% in early deals to hit a 52-week high of Rs 228.50 today. A total of 1.15 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 2.60 crore. Market cap of Power Finance rose to Rs 60,193 crore
The shares of the state-owned insurer rose nearly 2% to Rs 630.15 after LIC said new business premium (NBP) in June rose 21% to Rs 24,970.82 crore while the private sector life insurers registered a growth of 13% to Rs 11,990.94 crore. Market cap of the firm climbed to Rs 3.94 lakh crore
Shares of Reliance Industries rose over 5% today after its board approved a proposal for raising of funds by way of issuance of NCDs up to Rs 5,000 crore. The stock climbed to Rs 180.50 on BSE. A total of 0.39 lakh shares changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 68.90 lakh. Market cap of Satin Creditcare rose to Rs 1,521.68 crore
Shares of Suzlon Energy climbed 4% to Rs 18.06 after the company secured a 47.6 MW wind power project from The KP Group in Gujarat. The largest renewable energy solutions provider said the project is located at Vagra in Bharuch district in Gujarat and is expected to be commissioned in 2024. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 22,119 crore
Vadilal Industries stock fell 4.79% in early deals after the firm clarified on reports that Bain Capital is looking to buy a stake in the company. It said there is no such information. Market cap of Vadilal Industries slipped to Rs 2,212.52 crore. A total of 6139 shares changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 1.89 crore
Shares of CarTrade Tech rose over 15% in early deals after the company said it plans to buy Sobek Auto from OLX India for a consideration of Rs 537.43 crore. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 2,604 crore
