The domestic equity market was trading higher in the afternoon session today. Sensex gained 182 points to 76672 and Nifty rose 70 pts to 23,329.
“FIIs turning buyers during the last two days and covering their shorts will support the market in the near-term. BJP keeping the key portfolios signals continuity in policies. This is a positive from the market perspective. From the fundamental perspective, the 25% increase in corporate profitability in FY24 augurs well for the market." said VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services.
Shares of Action Construction Equipment slipped over 4% to Rs 1385.85 in the afternoon session today. The stock saw a high turnover of Rs 363.18 crore as 25.57 lakh shares changed hands on BSE. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 16,962.21 crore.
Shares of InterGlobe Aviation Ltd (IndiGo) fell over 4 per cent amid reports of a block deal by the promoter entity. Its promoter entity Interglobe Enterprises was likely to sell 2 per cent stake in the low-cost carrier. Shares of InterGlobe Aviation tumbled 4.42 per cent to Rs 4361 on Tuesday.
Shares of HCC zoomed 16% in early deals on Tuesday after brokerage Elara Capital initiated coverage on the civil construction firm with a buy call. HCC is likely to rise 58% from the current level, said Elara, pegging its price target at Rs 63 per share. The stock zoomed 15.81% to Rs 45.62 against the previous close of Rs 39.79 on BSE.
Shares of Suzlon Energy rose 4% to Rs 49.29 on BSE after the firm said it won a 103.95 MW order from AMPIN Energy Transition for supplying of 33 wind turbines with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW each. A project of this size can provide electricity to 85 thousand households and curb 3.38 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, Suzlon Energy said.
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) are in news today after the railway sector firm said Siemens-RVNL Consortium has received a letter of acceptance from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation. RVNL stock gained 4.96% to Rs 392.35 on June 10. Total 15.49 lakh shares of RVNL changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 59.72
Shares of Honasa Consumer slipped 7% to Rs 426.25 in the afternoon session today. The stock saw a high turnover of Rs 304.41 crore as 9.90 lakh shares changed hands on BSE. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 13,896 crore.
