Benchmark indices were trading higher in early deals today (September 1). Sensex gained 198 points to 65,029 and Nifty rose 74 pts to 19,327.
VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “Long-term investors can utilise weakness in the market to buy high-quality stocks in banking, capital goods and automobiles. The rally in the mid-and small-cap segment is turning unhealthy with the participation of many low-grade stocks. This trend is unlikely to last long."
Shares of Amber Enterprises gained 6.56% to a 52-week high of Rs 3,086.20 today. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 10,055 crore. A total of 9,420 shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 2.84 crore on BSE.

Shares of Jindal Steel gained 4% to a 52-week high of Rs 713.65 today. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 71,798 crore. A total of 0.93 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 6.52 crore on BSE.
Shares of Nazara Technologies fell 1.34% to Rs 767.30 in Friday's trade amid a report that said Zerodha's co-founder Nikhil Kamath was looking to buy 3.5% stake in the Rekha Jhunjhunwala-backed online gaming company. Kamath has already bought about 1% stake in the company, CNBC TV18 reported.
Shares of renewable energy firm Suzlon Energy gained 4% to Rs 25.60 on BSE. At 10:15 am, the Suzlon Energy stock was trading 2.44% higher at Rs 25.20. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 34,197 crore.
Shares of DCM Shriram were stuck in the upper circuit of 20% in early trade today. The stock rose 20% to Rs 1,115 against the previous close of Rs 929.60 on BSE. DCM Shriram’s market cap rose to Rs 18,506 crore. A total of 0.15 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 1.59 crore on BSE.
Shares of BHEL gained 9% to a 52-week high of Rs 132.35 in early trade today. BHEL’s market cap rose to Rs 45,527 crore. A total of 45.77 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 58.61 crore on BSE.
Shares of Tata Steel gained over 4% to a 52-week high of Rs 128.60 today. The stock was the top gainer on Sensex. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 1.56 lakh crore.
