Indian equity benchmarks were trading on a flat note in early deals today. The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 12 points to 66,106 and Nifty was unchanged at 19,717.
VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services said, “Even though the market is showing resilience, the undercurrent is weak. Investors have to be cautious at this stage. Profit booking in the mid-and small-cap stocks which have shot up on hope and aggressive buying would be a good strategy. There is safety in large-caps, particularly in segments like banking/financials, capital goods and autos.”
Apar Industries shares fell nearly 6% to Rs 5,425 on Thursday a day after the stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 6013 on BSE. Total 7857 shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 4.34 crore. Market cap of the firm fell to Rs 20,848 crore
EKI Energy Services saw a high turnover of Rs 41.96 crore today after 8.85 lakh shares changed hands on BSE. The stock plunged nearly 2% to Rs 461.25 in early deals. Market cap of the firm slipped to Rs 1387.18 crore on BSE.
Shares of Tata Investment Corp hit a fresh 52-week high today. The stock rose 7.5% to Rs 3522.10 on BSE. Market cap of the firm climbed to Rs 17,556 crore. Total 0.77 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 26.59 crore on BSE.
Shares of Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd hit a fresh 52 week high today after its arm Padget Electronics inked an agreement with Xiaomi Technology India for manufacturing smartphones and other related electronic products. The phones will be manufactured in Padget's facility situated at Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Shares of Nazara Technologies rose 1.5% to Rs 839.50 in early deals despite the online gaming platform receiving a Show-Cause Notice (SCN) dated September 21, 2023, from the Director General of GST Intelligence, Mumbai. The notice claims a tax demand of Rs 2.83 crore. Market cap of the firm stood at Rs 5535.13 crore.
Shares of MCX rose over 6% to a 52 week high of Rs 2058.60 today after the bourse said it was shifting to a new trading platform on October 3, 2023. Market cap of the firm rose to Rs 10,464 crore.
Shares of Federal Bank hit their 52-week high of Rs 151.45 in early deals today. Total 1.84 lakh shares of the firm changed hands amounting to a turnover of Rs 2.76 crore on BSE. Market cap of the firm climbed to Rs 35,166 crore.
