Benchmark indices Sensex, Nifty extended the gains and ended near the day's high with Nifty above 19,950. Top gainers on the Nifty included ITC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, ICICI Bank and Cipla, while losers were Reliance Industries, Infosys, UltraTech Cement, HCL Technologies and Bajaj Finserv.
Shares of IndusInd Bank rallied more than 6% to hit an intraday high of Rs 1,096.90 on NSE after the firm reported a 54.2% rise in its net consolidated profit to Rs 80.2 crore in Q1FY24. Revenue climbed 6.8% from Rs 2,014.6 crore to Rs 2,150.6 crore. The scrip closed at Rs 1,055.
