Market recap: Sensex,  Nifty settle higher

Benchmark indices traded higher on Tuesday, led by gains in IT, automobile and consumer durable stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 305 points or 0.42% to close at 73,095 and the broader NSE Nifty index moved 76 points or 0.34% up to close at 22,198. India VIX, fear index, climbed 0.81% to end at 15.73-level.

Stocks with potential 'Buy' calls for February 28

For February 28 (Wednesday), analysts from a domestic brokerage have assigned 'Buy' calls on Tata Communications, BEL and V-Guard shares. Check stock price targets, analysis, investment rationale and other crucial details about these technical bets.

Tata Communications  share price target

LTP: Rs 1,910 | SL: Rs 1,835 Analysts from Religare Broking have given a 'Buy' call on Tata Communications Ltd shares with a target price of Rs 2,045. The scrip has jumped 58.04% in the past one year. "The stock has registered a breakout from the consolidation range with a noticeable surge in volumes. It is likely to challenge its previous swing high level of Rs 1,915," Religare stated.

BEL share price target

LTP: Rs 205.10 | SL: Rs 197 Domestic brokerage Religare has also selected Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) shares in its stock recommendations. The brokerage has given a 'Buy' call on the counter with a target price of Rs 226 per share. The multibagger scrip has zoomed 116.81% in a year. "BEL has been in a steady uptrend for over a year. It has registered a fresh breakout, indicating that the bullish tone may continue," it stated.

V-Guard share price target

LTP: Rs 322 | SL: Rs 307 Religare has suggested a 'Buy' call for V-Guard Industries Ltd shares as well with a target price of Rs 350. The scrip has climbed 30.92% in the past one year. "The stock registered a decisive breakout with a sharp rise in volumes. We believe that it will resume its prior uptrend," the brokerage mentioned.

Nifty outlook

"Maintain 'Buy on Dips' approach till Nifty holds 21,900 on a closing basis. We expect the index to gradually inch higher towards 22,500, followed by 22,750 level," Religare suggested.
