Private lender HDFC Bank witnessed the most (149) block deals for the week (ended July 28, 2023), worth Rs 1,193 crore. The deals were executed at an average price of Rs 1,656 and involved 72.03 lakh shares. The private lender's stock slipped 1.9% this week

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL) witnessed the second-highest block deals (58) for the week, valued at Rs 356 crore. Around 14.22 lakh shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 2,505. RIL stock settled 0.85% higher at Rs 2,527.60 on Friday. However, the counter slipped 0.4% this week

RVNL was among the top losers and the stock cracked 11.5% over the week. Overall, 53 block deals were executed, worth Rs 194 crore, according to the Nuvama report. Around 1.57 crore shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 124, this report said. RVNL's two-day offer for sale (OFS) issue closed on Friday

Shares of Tata Motors DVR (differential voting right) were among the biggest gainers this week as the stock surged 17.7%. 9 block deals were recorded, valued at Rs 174 crore. 40.28 lakh shares changed hands and the average price was Rs 432. The automaker announced conversion of DVRs into ordinary shares. As per the arrangement, the shareholders of Tata Motors DVRs would receive 7 fully paid-up shares of Tata Motors for every 10 Tata Motors DVRs they held. For Tata Motors, 18 block deals worth Rs 220 crore were reported

During the week, 15 other stocks including NTPC, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Godrej Consumer Products, Mahindra & Mahindra, Suzlon Energy, Hindustan Unilever and Kotak Mahindra Bank witnessed significant bulk deal action, Nuvama said

NTPC observed 32 block deals worth Rs 290 crore during the week. Around 1.41 crore shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 206. The stock settled with weekly gains of 7.6%. NTPC recently announced that the second unit of 660 MW capacity of Barh Super Thermal Power Station, Stage-I (3x660 MW) would begin its commercial operation from August 1, 2023

30 block deals worth Rs 257 crore were made in Infy. The stock ended with a gain of 0.7% over the week. The deals were executed at an average price of Rs 1,357 and involved 13.05 lakh shares. ICICI Bank also saw 30 block deals worth Rs 315 crore

Godrej Consumer Products saw 21 block deals, valued at Rs 252 crore. The stock settled the week with a 1.8% dip. The deals were executed at an average price of Rs 1,035, involving 24.36 lakh shares

M&M witnessed 19 block deals worth Rs 276 crore during the week. Around 18.42 lakh shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 1,500. The stock settled with a weekly drop of 3.7%

In value terms, Suzlon Energy saw 18 block deals this week worth Rs 269 crore. The deals were executed at an average price of Rs 20, involving 13.32 crore shares

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) observed 17 block deals which were executed at an average price of Rs 2,577 involving 7.31 lakh shares. The deals were worth Rs 188 crore and the stock slipped 0.7% this week

Kotak Bank saw 11 block deals this week worth Rs 241 crore. Around 12.75 lakh shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 1,893. The counter fell 5% during this week

Motherson Wiring witnessed 8 block deals this week, valued at Rs 187 crore. Netweb Technologies saw 7 block deals worth Rs 241 crore. For Muthoot Finance, 6 block deals were observed, amounting to Rs 162 crore. HDFC Life Insurance, Lloyds Metals and United Breweries saw 3, 2 and 1 block deals, respectively
