Shriram Finance, Timken India and HDFC AMC (Asset Management Co) were among stocks that saw huge block deals this week, data available with Nuvama Research suggested. Shriram Finance witnessed four block deals during this week worth Rs 4,933 crore. The stock was up 19.6% for the week. It closed at Rs 1,669 on Friday (June 23). The deals were executed at an average price of Rs 1,548 and involved 3.19 crore shares
Timken India was among the top losers and the stock fell 5.6% over the week. Overall 14 block deals were executed worth Rs 2,672 crore, according to a Nuvama report. Over 85.84 lakh shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 3,112, this report said
During the week, 13 other stocks including HDFC AMC, Adani Enterprises, HDFC twins (HDFC and HDFC Bank), Bharti Airtel, Delhivery, Tega Industries, Asian Paints and Sun Pharma witnessed significant bulk deal action, Nuvama said
In value terms, 23 block deals worth Rs 245 crore were made in Tega Industries, which was highest in the pack. The stock ended with a rise of 1.2% over the week
In Airtel, 13 block deals were executed at an average price of Rs 840 involving 22.94 lakh shares. The deals were worth Rs 193 crore and the stock gained 2% this week
Asian Paints, 7 block deals worth Rs 240 crore were executed. The stock ended with a weekly dip of 0.6%
As for Sun Pharma, 6 block deals worth Rs 445 crore were executed during the week. Around 44.89 lakh shares changed hands at an average price of Rs 991. The stock settled with weekly losses of marginal 0.1%
Krishna Institute witnessed 5 block deals worth 785 crore. A total of 45.21 lakh shares at an average price of Rs 1,736 per share were transacted. The stock ended with weekly gains of 9%. Sansera Engineering saw 4 block deals valued at Rs 652 crore
In HDFC AMC, Adani Enterprises, Craftsman Auto and Aptus Value Housing, 2 block deals, each, were executed at a cost of Rs 4,452 crore, Rs 638 crore, Rs 317 crore and Rs 213 crore. HDFC Bank saw one block deal at a cost of Rs 893 crore. In addition, Delhivery also witnessed a single block deal worth Rs 740 crore
