Shares of Varun Beverages jumped 7.04% to close at Rs 1,254.55 in the previous trading session. The company, in a BSE filing, said, "Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has laid the foundation stone of proposed manufacturing plant in Kandrori (Kangra) with a total capital outlay of Rs 270 crore."
Shares of Cochin Shipyard tanked 6.34% to close at Rs 1,223.95. The company has signed a contract with the Defence Ministry for a value of Rs 488.25 crore.
Aether Industries Ltd shares dived 4.65% to close at Rs 882.50. "We are not aware of any information that has not been announced to the exchanges which could explain the movement in trading," the company said in a clarification to a BSE query on a news report (now removed) titled "Aether Industries Ltd signs partnership deal with Tesla."
Shares of Raymond fell 2.12% to settle at Rs 1,706.65. The company said, "Raymond Lifestyle Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond, has incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary company by the name 'Ten X Realty East Limited'.
SIAM Cement BigBloc Construction Technologies, a joint venture between Gujarat-based BigBloc Construction and Thailand's Siam Cement Group, expects commercial operation of its first plant at Kapadvanj, Gujarat in the next 3-4 months, the company stated in a BSE filing.
Shares of Adani Green Energy cracked 5.18% to settle at Rs 1451.75. The company is scheduled to hold a meeting to consider a proposal for raising of funds on December 26, 2023.
Shares of Zee Entertainment Enterprises slumped 7.31% to close at Rs 251.80. Zee and Japan-based Sony Group's India unit will discuss an extension of the merger deadline, the broadcaster said.
Shares of Tata Motors slipped 3.33% gains to settle at Rs 704.95. Tata Motors' flagship SUVs, the new Safari and Harrier, have become first vehicles to receive a 5-star rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat-NCAP).
Shares of SpiceJet plunged 8.85% to close at Rs 60.23. Mumbai-based businessman Harihara Mahapatra and his wife Preeti have announced a substantial investment of Rs 1,100 crore in cash-strapped SpiceJet. Separately, exchanges have sought clarification from the budget carrier on a news report titled "Delhi High Court Directs SpiceJet To Pay Engine Lessors Amid Legal Dispute."
Shares of Samvardhana Motherson International fell 4.40% to close at Rs 92.10. "With reference to the acquisition of 73.05% stake in Irillic, subject to satisfactory completion of conditions precedent, expected closing by December 2023. In this regard, due to ongoing completion of condition precedents for the transaction, the parties have mutually agreed to extend the closing timelines. Accordingly, it is now expected to be completed by end of February 2024," the company said.
