On the stock-specific front, GMR Airports, Infosys, LIC, Lupin, R Systems and some other counters will be in focus today.
Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure rose 2.84% to close at Rs 73.39 in the previous trading session. The company, in a BSE filing, said, "NIIF to invest up to Rs 675 crore in the upcoming greenfield airport at Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh being developed by GMR Airports."
Shares of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) climbed 0.52% to close at Rs 764.55. The government has granted a one-time exemption to the state-owned insurer to achieve 25 per cent Minimum Public Shareholding (MPS) within 10 years.
Lupin Ltd shares gained 2.26% to close at Rs 1,255.55. The pharma major has launched Softovac Liquifibre, a 100% ayurvedic liquid laxative.
Shares of MOIL Ltd jumped 5.18% to settle at Rs 300.40. The company said its production surpassed 16 lakh tonnes in 2023, 26% higher than the previous best achieved in 2019.
Shares of EKI Energy Services moved 2.28% higher to close at Rs 428.40. The company said it has unveiled a comprehensive analysis of the outcomes and pivotal decisions emerging from the recently concluded COP28 in Dubai. EKI's strategic focus includes exploring investment prospects in biofuels, credits and the manufacturing and recycling of materials, aligning with their commitment to sustainability and contributing to the global climate agenda.
Shares of WPIL Ltd surged 5% to settle at Rs 3,413.80. The company has received an order from PHED, West Bengal government, for execution of a turnkey project for surface-based water supply scheme at an aggregate value of Rs 425.35 crore.
Shares of Infosys edged 0.03% up to close at Rs 1,536.25. The IT major has announced a five-year collaboration with LKQ Europe, one of the leading distributors of automotive aftermarket parts for cars, commercial vans, and industrial vehicles in Europe.
Shares of R Systems International Ltd rose 3.75% to settle at Rs 562.35. The stock will turn ex-dividend today. The company has announced an interim dividend of Rs 6.80 per share.
Shares of Kovilpatti Lakshmi Roller Flour Mills Ltd climbed 1.07% to close at Rs 199.10. The counter will also trade ex-dividend today. And, the dividend amount per share is Rs 2.
Shares of Rajesh Exports settled with 2.29% gains at Rs 348. The company will turn ex-dividend as well. The company has declared a dividend of Re 1.
