Despite overbought technical conditions, the good news is that the short-term outlook for Nifty continues to be in favor of the bulls, with support placed at 20,529-20,321 levels and resistance at 20,750-21,051," said Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities.
On the stock-specific front, Indian Energy Exchange (IEX), Borosil, Mahindra Finance, HCL Tech, Stove Kraft, JSW Infrastructure and some other counters will be in focus today.
Shares of Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) rose 1.51% to close at Rs 144.90 in the previous trading session. The energy exchange said it has achieved 9,136 MU overall volume, including 7.55 Lac Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) (equivalent to 755 MU), marking a 17.5% increase on YoY (year-on-year) basis.
Shares of Stove Kraft slipped 1% to close at Rs 481.35. The company said it has launched its first exclusive Pigeon Brand Outlet in Delhi.
JSW Infrastructure shares fell 1.07% to close at Rs 217.55. JSW Dharamtar Port Pvt Ltd (wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Infra) has entered into share purchase and other relevant transaction documents for acquisition of 50% plus 1 shares of PNP Maritime Services Pvt Ltd from SP Port Maintenance Pbt Ltd. SP Port is a Shapoorji Pallonji Group company.
Shares of Gulshan Polyols surged 8.14% to settle at Rs 222.60. The company said it has been awarded a contract for supplying 89,404 Kilolitres of Ethanol from its 500 KLPD Ethanol plant at Boregaon with an order value of Rs 571.50 crore.
Shares of Cupid Ltd gained 3.38% to close at Rs 863.20. The company has announced its acquisition of a new land parcel in an industrial area near Mumbai.
Shares of Thomas Cook (India) jumped 4.98% to settle at Rs 154. The Mumbai-based travel agency said it has sold 40,000,000 equity shares of the company with face value of Re 1 each (representing 8.50% of the total issued and paid-up equity share capital of the Company) on November 30, 2023 and December 1, 2023. With this, the promoter shareholding has reduced from 72.34% of the paidup equity share capital to 63.84%.
Shares of Borosil soared 5.66% to close at Rs 446.80. The glassware company's stock will trade ex-spin off from today.
Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services rose 1.42% to close at Rs 277.70. In November 2023, the company's overall disbursement came at Rs 5,300 crore, delivering a 16% growth over previous year.
Shares of TVS Holdings moved 1.72% up to settle at Rs 6,096.90. The Company has submitted an application with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for registration as a core investment company (CIC).
Shares of HCL Technologies edged 0.20% up to settle at Rs 1,336.70. The IT company said HCL Investments UK Ltd (HCL UK) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its US-based joint venture (JV) partner, State Street International Holdings.
