Indian equity benchmarks settled at record highs on December 15 (Friday), led by sharp gains in IT, metals, state-owned banks and energy stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex zoomed 970 points or 1.37 per cent to close at 71,484, while the broader NSE Nifty index moved 274 points or 1.29 per cent up to end the session at 21,457. Stocks such as IRFC, YES Bank, SAIL, Persistent Systems and Gujarat Fluorochemicals were among the top gainers on Nifty 200.
HCL Technologies Ltd's stock was the top gainer this week in the Nifty 200 universe as the scrip jumped 27.91% to Rs 13.75 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has risen 18.03%.
Gujarat Fluorochemicals' stock jumped 14.38% this week to Rs 3,252.25 on NSE, and was among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the stock has risen 15.79%.
Steel Authority of India Ltd's stock was also among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 pack this week as it moved 13.61% higher to Rs 111.45 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has gained 26.07%.
Persistent Systems' stock ascended by 11.76% to Rs 7,224.85 on NSE in the week ended on December 15, and was among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe. On a monthly basis, the stock has risen 15.34%.
Coforge's stock was also among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe this week as it climbed 11.36% to Rs 6,439.85 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has gained 20.52%.
YES Bank's stock rose 10.3% this week to Rs 21.95 on NSE, and was one of the top gainers in the Nifty 200 pack. In the last one month, the stock has moved 7.86% higher.
PI Industries shares slumped 11.52% to Rs 3,400.7 on NSE this week, making the stock one of the top losers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the scrip has declined 8.5%.
Adani Total Gas' stock tanked 9.5% this week to Rs 1,046.95 on NSE. The stock emerged as the second-most loser in the Nifty 200 index. Although, the stock has soared 93.97% in the last one month.
Shares of Bajaj Holdings & Investment fell 4.96% this week to Rs 1,543.3 on NSE. The stock was among the top losers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the counter has slipped 5.92%.
Shares of Torrent Power fell 7.15% this week to Rs 897.5 on NSE, making it one of the top Nifty 200 losers. That said, the stock has risen 8.61% in the last one month.
Shares of Delhivery tumbled 6.96% to Rs 358.05 in the week ended on December 15. In the past one month, the stock has fallen 12.96%.
