Indian equity benchmarks returned to the negative territory in the last session as automobile, pharma and energy stocks dragged. On Friday, the 30-share BSE pack tanked 454 points or 0.62% to close at 72,643 and the broader NSE Nifty index moved 123 points or 0.56% down to close at 22,023. Stocks such as RVNL, IndiGo, Poonawalla Fincorp and Colgate were among the top gainers on Nifty 200 during this week.
Poonawalla Fincorp Ltd's stock was the top gainer this week in the Nifty 200 universe as the scrip soared 6.98% to Rs 462.9 on NSE. Although, the stock has slipped 4.75% in the last one month.
Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd's stock surged 5.81% this week to Rs 2,728.55 on NSE, and was among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the stock has risen 5.15%.
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd's (RVNL's) stock was also among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 pack this week as it moved 3.19% higher to Rs 245.55 on NSE. However, the stock has shed 1.33% in the last one month.
InterGlobe Aviation Ltd's (IndiGo's parent) stock rose 3.14% to Rs 3,203.1 on NSE in the week ended on March 15, and was among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe. On a monthly basis, the stock has climbed 3.52%.
Info Edge India's stock was also among the top gainers in the Nifty 200 universe this week as it climbed 3% to Rs 5,241.2 on NSE. In the last one month, the stock has risen 1.72%. Shares of Trent, TCS, CG Power, United Breweries and L&T Technology Services also picked up pace during the week on NSE 200.
NMDC Ltd's stock slumped 16.94% this week to Rs 198.35 on NSE, and was the top loser in the Nifty 200 pack. The stock has tanked 15.79% in the last one month.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) shares dived 15.83% to Rs 216.75 on NSE this week, making the stock one of the top losers in the Nifty 200 universe. In the last one month, the scrip has fallen 3.43%. During the week, shares of Macrotech Developers, Tata Chemicals, SAIL, Bharat Electronics and Oil India also saw sharp corrections on NSE 200.
