Benchmark indices on Monday extended their record run by scaling fresh record high levels. The sharp up move was supported by gains in technology, energy and bank stocks. Headline index NSE Nifty closed at 22,097.45-level. Top gainers on the Nifty50 platform were Wipro, ONGC, HCLTech, Infosys and HDFC Bank while losers included HDFC Life, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Hindalco and Eicher Motors.
Stocks such as HDFC Bank, Wipro, Infosys, HCLTech and ONGC were most active on NSE today, in terms of value. Tata Steel and SBI were the other buzzing stocks on the platform, in terms of volume.
Shares of Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC) emerged as the top gainer in the NSE 500 index. The stock zoomed 14.73% on NSE today to settle at Rs 130.1. At this price, the company commanded a market capitalisation (m-cap) of Rs 1,70,021.3 crore.
Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd shares soared 8.89% to close at Rs 5,070.55. The company's m-cap came at Rs 43,929 crore.
SJVN Ltd surged 8.87% to close at Rs 102.5. The company's m-cap stood at Rs 40,280.4 crore.
Shares of online food aggregator Zomato Ltd fell sharply today. The stock dived 4.41% to close at Rs 133.4 on Monday. At this price, the company's market cap stood at Rs 1,16,203.6 crore.
FSN E-Commerce Ventures (Nykaa's parent) shares slipped 4.13% to end the session at Rs 179.85. The company's m-cap came at Rs 51,346.5 crore today.
