Apple CEO Tim Cook launched two stores in India this week. The first store is located in Mumbai, called Apple BKC, while the second store is located in New Delhi, called Apple Saket
Apple BKC is located in Reliance-owned Jio World Drive mall in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex. It was launched on April 18. The store spreads over 2 floors covering 20,000 square feet
Apple Saket is in the Select City Mall in New Delhi. It opened on April 20. The store is limited to a single floor, covering roughly 8,500 square feet
Despite the vast difference in size, both the stores have similar rent. The fixed aspect of Apple BKC's rent is Rs 42 lakhs per month. Apple Saket's rent is Rs 40 lakhs per month
The themes and inspiration of both the stores is different. Apple BKC is inspired by Mumbai's kali peeli taxi while Apple Saket is inspired by New Delhi's gates
One of the unique aspects of Apple BKC is the abundance of natural light. That's the reason several lush green trees are growing inside the store. This is not the case with Apple Saket.
Apple BKC is staffed with over 100 team members. They collectively speak over 20 languages, as per the company's website
Over 70 people work at Apple Saket. As per the company's website, they collectively speak over 17 languages
Although different in some respects, both the stores are equipped with latest Apple products and experiences like Genius Bar, Today at Apple sessions, Apple Pickup, etc
