The Bajaj Freedom 125 has passed 11 safety tests. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari supports the bike, emphasizing the importance of reducing India's crude oil import bill and promoting alternative fuels.

The bike is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 9.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm, linked to a five-speed gearbox.
