During his US visit, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the Tesla factory in Fremont, California, and also met the automaker’s CEO Elon Musk. Musk took Netanyahu and his wife Sara for a joyride in the yet-to-be launched Tesla Cybertruck
Elon Musk took Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife on a factory tour. Musk briefed them about the various models of Tesla and future developments
During his Tesla factory visit, Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly urged Musk to strike a balance between freedom of expression and fighting hate speech on his social media platform X (Twitter). “I hope you find within the confines of the First Amendment, the ability to not only stop antisemitism... but any collective hatred of a people,” said Netanyahu
The official X account of the Israeli Prime Minister shared a video, which covered the entire factory visit. Towards the end, Musk is seen sitting in the driver’s seat in a Cybertruck while Netanyahu sits on the passenger side while his wife Sara is seated in the back. The three of them drove on the track inside the factory. Netanyahu praised the new vehicle by Tesla after the ride
Electric carmaker Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck in 2019 but it is yet to go on the market. Musk has been marketing the truck for over a decade while making various tall claims along the way
The much anticipated truck by Tesla will have a body made of ultra-hard cold-rolled steel. The company is expected to not even paint the vehicle so the Cybertruck will be available in only one colour
One of the wild claims made by Tesla CEO was that his truck will be able to “cross rivers, lakes and even seas that aren’t too choppy”. Musk claimed that the Cybertruck will be waterproof enough to serve as a boat for a brief period of time due to the thrust coming from wheel rotation
Recently, Musk took to his platform X (Twitter) to make another claim about Tesla Cybertruck. He claimed that they might cover the truck with a tungsten-carbide coating, which will be scratch-less against everything except something as hard as a diamond
Over the years, Elon Musk has claimed that his new creation, the Cybertruck, will have the ability to pull “near infinite mass” and the claim is on the official website of the vehicle as well
According to recent reports, Tesla will offer the truck with three configurations – single motor, dual moto and tri-motor, which will have a range of 250, 300 and 500 miles respectively. The tri-motor version of the Tesla Cybertruck will be the most powerful with the ability to reach the speed of 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds while the single motor will hit 60 mph in 6.5 seconds
Some other features of the Tesla Cybertruck include a ground clearance of 16 inches, approach angle of 33 degrees, departure angle of 28 degrees and power outlets in the bed to charge electrical appliances
Recent reports also suggest that Tesla might introduce the bi-directional charging feature in its new truck. With this feature consumers will be able to charge one vehicle from another vehicle. Cybertruck is also expected to support up to 250-kilowatt charging
