Gemini Nano

Gemini Nano is a smaller AI model built for smartphones. It gets multimodal ability, enhancing Android’s ability to process and understand various inputs like text, sights, and sounds, starting with Pixel devices.

TalkBack Improvements

Upcoming updates to TalkBack will provide richer image descriptions for users with visual impairments, utilising Gemini Nano’s on-device multimodal capabilities.

Scam Protection Features

Gemini Nano will soon offer real-time scam detection during phone calls, alerting users to potential fraud through on-device processing. The company showed the new feature during the Google I/O 2024 keynote.
