Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has launched AirFiber in India. Announced at Reliance AGM 2023, the fixed wireless broadband service is launched at a starting price of Rs 599.
The best part about the AirFiber is you can simply buy the device, plug it in and start using. However, if you need “ultra-fast” speed, an outdoor unit will have to be installed on your terrace. It will cost you Rs 1,000, unless you opt for the annual plan of AirFiber.
Jio AirFiber is available in 8 cities in India. for now. These cities include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
Buyers will get access to 550+ digital TV channels, 16+ OTT apps and high-speed broadband connection. They will also get a 4K smart set-top box and voice-active remote with the device.
In India, Reliance has introduced three prepaid plans for AirFiber, categorised on the basis of speeds. They are priced at Rs 599, Rs 899 and Rs 1,199 per month. With these plans, subscribers will get access to Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix and more. Its speed ranges from 30 Mbps to 100 Mbps.
Jio AirFiber Max offers speed from 300 Mbps to 1Gbps, depending on which plan you opt for. The three plans are priced at Rs 1,499, Rs 2,499 and Rs 3,999 in India. They will offer access to 14 apps + including Netflix, Amazon Prime and JioCinema Premium.
