Mahindra & Mahindra has finally launched its maiden electric SUV, the XUV400, in India
Tata Nexon EV has hardly seen any competition since its launch but the XUV400 is here to change that
The XUV400 comes in two variants, XUV400 EC and XUV400 EL, with prices ranging from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom)
The Tata Nexon EV comes in Prime and Nexon EV Max variants, with the prices starting at Rs 14.99 lakh to Rs 20.04 lakh (ex-showroom)
The XUV400 EC gets a 34.5kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 375km, while the XUV400 EL has a bigger 39.4kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 456km
The Tata Nexon EV Prime has a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 312km and the Nexon EV Max boasts a 40.5kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 437km.
The XUV400 bookings will start on January 26. The XUV400 EL will see deliveries starting in March 2023, while those for the XUV400 EC will commence during the Diwali festive season later this year
The XUV400 electric SUV gets projector headlamps with DRLs, LED taillamps, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, and door, sill and wheel arch claddings
The XUV400 features a height-adjustable driver seat, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, smartwatch connectivity, and an electric sunroof
The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV comes with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags, hill hold control, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat anchors
XUV400 electric SUV also comes with a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The fast charging option can charge the battery up to 80% in just 60 minutes
