The world of AI images and AI artists have taken the internet by storm with stunning visualisations of what if scenarios such as billionaires reimagined as kids, AI avatars of WWE stars celebrating Eid and much more
There are several AI tools that can be used to create stunning AI images. These include the popularly used OpenAI’s DALL·E 2, Midjourney, Lensa, DreamStudio by Stable Diffusion among others
Bing Image Creator is a free AI tool by Microsoft powered by an advanced version of OpenAI's Dall-E technology. Like other generative AI tools, Bing Image Creator uses text prompts to create AI images
If you are using Microsoft Edge as your browser, click on the Bing Image Creator icon in the sidebar and you can also access it from Bing chat within Edge
- Go to bing.com/images/create
- Click the "Join & Create" button
- Login using your Microsoft account or create a new one
- Enter a description of an image you’d like to see and hit the Create button
- You can also click on the "Surprise Me" button to get a suggested prompt from a pre-existing list
- After pressing the ‘Create’ button, it will take Bing Image Creator around 10-20 seconds to generate AI images for each prompt
- You will receive up to four different AI images for your prompt
- You can view, download and share your images
While Bing Image creator is free, it works on a currency-like system of ‘Boost’ which helps generate images quickly. Each generated prompt will cost a user one ‘Boost’
Each user initially receives 25 boosts per week, and if they run out, they can purchase more using Microsoft Rewards points. If you exhaust your boosts, you will have to wait for image generation. The waiting time can vary, ranging from a few seconds to a few hours, depending on server and prompt
