July 2023 will witness a multiplayer battle as top smartphone brands like Samsung, Motorola, Nothing and OnePlus are set to launch their new devices.

Smartphone Launches in July 2023

The much anticipated mid-range smartphone Nothing Phone (2) is set to launch in the second week of July. The brand has also confirmed some of its features which include the processor, battery capacity, fast charging along with its design. The second phone from Nothing is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, with expected RAM of up to 12 GB RAM and internal storage of up to 512 GB. The phone runs on a 4,700 mAh battery. The company also revealed that the new phone will have a semi-transparent charging cable.

Nothing Phone (2)

The third mid-range phone from OnePlus is expected to get a new edition in July 2023. The Chinese brand is expected to run OnePlus Nord 3 on an updated processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC. The new phone is expected to come with a 6.7-inch display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to have an in-display fingerprint scanner. (Representative Image)

OnePlus Nord 3

iQOO will launch its Neo 7 Pro for the Indian market on July 4. The new IQOO device will run on a two chip setup, the primary is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and a separate gaming chip. The phone comes with a FHD+ resolution display supporting a refresh rate of 120Hz at least. It may come with a large battery with 120W fast charging.

iQOO Neo 7 Pro

Motorola is another brand expected to launch its latest X40 in the Indian market in the last week of July. The new device is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC supporting a 6.7-inch display with a refresh rate of 165Hz and in-display fingerprint scanner. Coming to the power, the latest device runs on a 4,600mAh battery which supports 125W fast charging. Another feature of the new phone is IP68 water and dust resistance rating. Motorola X40

The Korean tech giant, Samsung is expected to host its annual Unpacked event on July 26 in Seoul this year. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, the latest edition of the Samsung Z Fold family, is expected to be a little taller than its predecessor. It will also feature the new ‘teardrop’ hinge which makes the phone look much more compact. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: Design

Coming to the processor and RAM, the new Samsung Z Fold 5 is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip paired with 12 GB RAM and internal storage of up to 1 TB. The display of Z Fold 5 is expected to have a 6.2 inch HD+ AMOLED outer display and a 7.6-inch QXGA+AMOLED primary foldable display supporting a refresh rate of 120Hz (Representative Image)

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5: Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, the new member of the Samsung Flip family, will also use the latest ‘teardrop’ hinge which has reportedly helped the company to get a IP58 water resistance rating for a foldable device for the first time. Reports also suggest that the size of the outer display has also been doubled to 3.8-inch compared to the 1.9-inch in Z Flip 4. It also gets a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The RAM is expected to be 8 GB with the internal storage up to 256 GB. For the processor, Samsung is expected to lean on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. As for power, the new device is expected to come with a 3,700mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

Motorola has announced its decision to launch the new Razr 40 series in India on July 3. The upcoming series has two devices- Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra. Talking about the Razr 40, it will have a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate. The cover screen is 1.5-inch in size. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset powered by a 4,200 mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging. It gets the option of 8GB and 12GB RAM with internal storage up to 256GB.

Motorola Razr 40

The flagship Razr 40 Ultra gets the better Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a bigger 3.6-inch cover display. Motorola Razr 40 Ultra also gets the same 8GB and 12GB RAM options but with an added bigger internal storage option of 512GB. For power, Razr 40 Ultra gets a 3,800 mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging.

Oppo Reno 10 series is expected to make its global debut early next month. The series includes three smartphones – Oppo Reno 10 5G, Oppo Reno 10 Pro 5G and the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ 5G. The company has already confirmed a dedicated telephoto lens which will be part of a triple camera setup for all the three phones. The phones will support a curved OLED display. The Reno 5G is expected to have the Snapdragon 778G SoC as its processor. The Reno Pro and Reno Pro+ models are expected to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Oppo has powered the Reno 10 Pro with a 4,600 mAh battery supporting 80W charging and Reno 10+ Pro with a 4,700 mAh battery supporting 100W charging.
