OnePlus has announced the launch date for three new products during its OnePlus Summer Launch Event 2023. The Chinese brand is going to launch two new smartphones, OnePlus Nord 3 and Nord CE3 5G, and its new wireless earbuds OnePlus Nord Buds 2R on July 5
OnePlus Nord 3 is set to make its global debut on July 5. The 5G smartphone is going to bring back the signature alert slider as per the teaser from the company
The new Nord device is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, which is also used in Tecno Phantom V Fold and Oppo N2 Flip
OnePlus is expected to offer a 6.7-inch 1.5K resolution display on their new Nord 3 phone. The screen is also expected to be AMOLED supporting a 120Hz refresh rate
As per the recent leaks, OnePlus Nord 3 will be available in two variants: 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage and 16GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. For the camera, OnePlus might rely on the 50MP main sensor paired with a secondary 8MP and a tertiary sensor of 2MP. As for the front camera, the device could be equipped with a 16MP sensor
The Nord CE3 is expected to share the same display, camera and the 5000 mAh battery with the Nord 3 5G. The only difference expected is the processor as Nord CE3 might run on the Snapdragon 728G paired with 12GB RAM instead of the 16GB in Nord 3
Along with the two smartphones, OnePlus is also launching an affordable version of the OnePlus Buds 2, the OnePlus Nord Buds 2R. The new earbuds are expected to come with a new design featuring smooth and round edges. They may also support touch controls just like its predecessors while offering over seven hours of playtime. One of the big changes could be that they might not offer active noise cancellation like OnePlus Nord Buds
The OnePlus Nord 3 5G will compete with iQOO Neo 7, Redmi Note 12 Pro, Poco F5 and Motorola Edge 40. While Nord CE3 5G is expected to compete with Vivo V15 Pro, Realme 10 Pro and iQOO Z6 Pro
Expected prices of the new OnePlus products are:
- OnePlus Nord 3 price – Rs 32,999 (8GB Variant) and Rs 40,200 (16GB Variant)
- OnePlus Nord CE3 price – Rs 24,999
- OnePlus Nord Buds 2R price – Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000
