Xiaomi has launched the new Xiaomi 14 Civi in India in the sub-Rs 50,000 price segment. It is a stylish smartphone aimed at users planning to buy a phone with flagship features at an affordable price. Here are my quick first impressions:
The new Xiaomi smartphone is a stunning-looking handset that is incredibly thin and light at 7.4mm and 177 grams, making it comfortable to hold. It comes in Matcha Green, Cruise Blue and Shadow Black colour variants. The Green colour variant that I am using is eyecatching with its unique design and texture
The smartphone features a beautiful 6.55-inch 1.5K AMOLED quad curve display. The bezels are super thin, creating a truly immersive viewing experience. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate to make scrolling feel smooth and buttery. Colours look vibrant, and the 3,000 nits of peak brightness seem impressive – perfect for watching videos on the go.
It comes with a triple rear camera that includes a 50MP primary sensor with Leica Summilux lens, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 50MP telephoto lens. For selfies, Xiaomi 14 Civi comes with a dual camera setup that includes two 32MP sensors. Till now, it seems decent but will need more testing to give a verdict
The 4700mAh battery and the power-efficient Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip should provide good battery life. The 67W fast charging support is also a nice touch, allowing you to top up the battery when needed quickly. Xiaomi 14 Civi is equipped with a 4,700 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging and is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset that helps in good battery life. It runs on HyperOS, based on Android 14.
Xiaomi 14 Civi is launched in two storage variants. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 42,999 and the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant will cost Rs 47,999. It will go on sale in India on June 20
Xiaomi 14 Civi is a stylish smartphone with a gorgeous display and a focus on selfies. The early signs are promising when it comes to performance, but we need more time to test the cameras and battery life. Stay tuned for a detailed review.
