Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga recently made headlines after it launched a bizarre unisex ‘Towel Skirt’ priced at a whopping $925 (Rs 77,000 approx.)
Balenciaga’s latest bizarre fashion item is the look 30 of Balenciaga’s Spring 24 Collection and bears the Balenciaga logo embroidery on its front. Made of terry beige cotton, the Balenciaga Towel Skirt features two waistline buttons and a built-in belt, as ore the listing on the luxury brand’s website. Netizens are trolling the brand and using hashtags like #DumbFashion while sharing DIY versions of the expensive towel skirt
Popular Swedish furniture brand IKEA took a dig at the Balenciaga Towel Skirt. IKEA UK shared its own version of a towel skirt priced at £16 (Rs 1,600 approx), in a cheeky way to advertise its towels as a budget-friendly alternative to the luxury brand’s offering priced at Rs 77,000
