Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony. A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals on January 22. From January 14 to January 22, Ayodhya will mark the Amrit Mahotsav. PM Modi will be taking part in the rituals.
A diverse array of VIPs from various walks of life have been invited to witness the historic event of the Ram Mandir consecration in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath are among the key invitees.
Political leaders who have been invited to Ram Mandir's consecration ceremony include Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh among others.
Some of the notable business tycoons invited to Ayodhya Ram Mandir are India's richest person RIL Chairperson Mukesh Ambani, the second richest person Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani and Tata Group Chairman emeritus and philanthropist Ratan Tata.
Bollywood's power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, action hero Akshay Kumar, superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth and Kangana Ranaut are some of the invitees. Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, who played the iconic roles of Lord Rama and Sita in popular TV serial Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana, have also been invited.
Among notable sports personalities, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli have been invited to Ayodhya for the Ram Mandir inauguration.
As the Ram Temple inauguration date nears, many Ram bhajans have been going viral. PM Narendra Modi shared a clip from the live show of famous bhajan singer Hariharan as he sang, "Sabne tumhe pukara Shri Ram Ji.”
