BTS will release an OST as a group for the animated superhero film Bastions
Since the announcement of the group’s new release by Thymos Media, BTS fan base ARMY got the hashtag ‘BTS Is BACK’ trending online
The new OST was recorded prior to Jin’s military enlistment. The song will drop on May 14
Bastions unveiled a poster of BTS members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook along with the film’s protagonists. BTS will be lending their voices to the soundtrack of the film’s theme song

The animated film Bastions’ plot revolves around a rookie team of heroes, who track down evildoers damaging the environment. While seeking to uncover the mysterious identity of a hidden villain and protect the planet, the characters will grow into true heroes
Thymos Media wrote, "The collaboration with K-pop artists will help raise the global audience's awareness of environmental issues. K-pop singers decided to join hands with us as they found our message relatable."
Bastions will premiere on SBS on May 14 at 7:30 am KST
In June 2022, BTS declared that they would be suspending group activities for a while to solely focus on solo activities. In a meantime, the group will be completing their military enlistment. Jin is already completing his military service, J-hope is expected to join. The group reportedly plans to reunite in 2025
