The winners of the 69th National Awards were announced on August 24 by the Directorate of Film Festivals led by the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon won the Best Actress award jointly and Allu Arjun was named the Best Actor. Here are the celebratory posts by the awardees on Instagram
Alia Bhatt won the National Award for Best Actress for her titular role in Gangubai Kathiawadi based on the life of Ganga Harjivandas. She wrote on Instagram, “To Sanjay Sir.. To the entire crew.. To my family.. To my team & last but most definitely not the least To my audience.. This national award is yours .. because without you ALL none of this would be possible.. seriously!!! I am SO grateful.. I do not take moments like these lightly.. I hope to continue to entertain for as long as I can.. Love and light.. Gangu (also known as alia).”
Kriti Sanon also won the National Award for Best Actress for her titular role in Mimi, where she plays the role of a surrogate mother. She wrote on Instagram, “Eyes are moist, Heart is full! The National Award: Best Actress for Mimi.”

Both Alia and Kriti shared sweet messages for each other. Alia wrote, “P.S - Kriti .. I remember messaging you the day I saw Mimi .. it was such an honest and powerful performance.. I cried and cried.. so so well deserved.. shine on you star… the world is your oyster,” while Kriti wrote, “Congratulations Alia, so well deserved. I’ve always admired your work and I am too excited to share this huge moment with you.”
Allu Arjun has been awarded the National Award for Best Actor for Pushpa: The Rise. He was greeted by his loved ones and fans as he celebrated the win at his residence in Hyderabad

Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files starring Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and others also bagged two National Awards. Vivek Agnihotri was awarded Best Film on National Integration and Pallavi was given the award for Best Supporting Actress. He shared an Insta story congratulating both Alia and Pallavi. Meanwhile, Vivek and Pallavi have reunited for their upcoming film, ‘The Vaccine War’
R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the National Award for the Best Feature Film. He shared a photo with the team’s crew to celebrate the award. In another Instagram post, he wrote, “Today is an overwhelming day for Team Rocketry and everybody involved with this film. Getting the national award for the Best Feature Film has given us the belief that Nambi Narayanan Sir will finally get the recognition he so richly deserves, and that has been our only mission…”
