A video that appeared on Twitter shows India's first rapid regional rail operating at top speed as it passes through an RRTS train station that is still under construction
The RRTS trains will be the first regional rapid rail and the fastest metro trains in India. The parent organisation of Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail, NCRTC, is currently running test runs at Duhai Depot
RRTS ran its inaugural service between Ghaziabad and Duhai Depot. All the engineers, technicians had a unique and first-time experience when the train was taken out of Duhai Depot for electrical testing
The entire Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS is scheduled to open in 2025. Its Duhai-Sahibabad priority section in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, is expected to be operational by early 2023
RRTS is expected to reduce the journey time between Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to about 1 hour from the present 3–4 hours
The video, which has no date or location, was shot from an unknown station where an RRTS train approaches and departs in a fraction of a second
