YouTube star IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr, was live streaming a virtual tour of Norway when the situation escalated unexpectedly.
Initially followed by a few fans asking for pictures, the number of followers rapidly increased, causing concern for the streamer.
As more fans appeared, IShowSpeed expressed his frustration, stating, "What is this? What the hell? No, no, no, no, I literally stepped foot in Norway for 10 seconds, bro. No. Let me enjoy Norway."
IShowSpeed entered a souvenir shop to escape the growing crowd. However, the mob continued to swell, prompting guards to block the entrance to prevent more people from entering.
The YouTuber was trapped inside the store for an hour as the situation deteriorated, with the crowd outside growing increasingly unruly.
Security guards eventually carried IShowSpeed through the mob to a car parked outside, but the chaos continued even as they made their escape.
Before ending his stream, IShowSpeed told his viewers, "I don't think I'll ever come here again, bro. I'm not even trolling. I love all my Norway fans, but you just generally don't listen." On X (formerly Twitter), IShowSpeed expressed his frustration, writing, "Never coming to fu***** Norway again."
The YouTuber mentioned that he called the Norway police for help but was told they would not assist until he ended his stream. "The police said they not gonna help me until I end my stream," he informed his viewers.
