If 2023 has been any indication, 2024 is all set to see some big hits too. From Fighter to Merry Christmas and Pushpa 2 to Singham Again, here are some releases to look forward to in the coming year
Helmed by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand, top Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots come together to form Air Dragons in the face of danger. The film features Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover in lead roles. Fighter will be Bollywood's big release ahead of Republic Day 2024.
The Rohit Shetty-directorial will see Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor reprise their roles as Bajirao Singham and Avni Singham respectively. The film will also feature Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh in significant roles. Singham Again is expected to be an Independence Day 2024 release.
The clash between Pushpa and Bhanwar Singh will continue in the conclusion to the two-parted action drama. The film is expected to hit theatres on Independence Day 2024. Pushpa 2 will feature Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in significant roles.
Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, the Thala Ajith-starrer is expected to hit theatres in early 2024. Vidaa Muyarchi also features Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra and Arav in pivotal roles.
Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, the film is said to be the prequel of the first part of the 2022 film Kantara. Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 is expected to release in 2024 seven languages-- Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali. It features Rishab Shetty and Sapthami Gowda in lead roles.
Helmed by Andhadhun and Badlapur director Sriram Raghavan, the film focuses on two strangers who meet on a fateful Christmas Eve and the events that unfold thereafter. The movie features Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanjay Kapoor, and Tinnu Anand in significant roles. Merry Christmas is scheduled to hit theatres on January 12, 2024.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Ravi Jadhav, the film captures the life of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee from a student leader to becoming India's PM. The film stars Pankaj Tripathi, Paula McGlynn and Dayashankar Pandey in significant roles. Main Atal Hoon will hit theatres on January 19, 2024.
Helmed by Heropanti 2 director Ahmed Khan, the film is the third movie in the Welcome franchise, comprising the 2007 film Welcome and the 2015 film Welcome Back. Welcome 3 is slated to hit theatres ahead of Christmas 2024. The film features Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.
