Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated Rajasthan's first heritage train, named the Valley Queen Heritage Train, with its maiden journey commencing from Marwar Junction.

The Valley Queen Heritage Train aims to offer travellers a unique experience by providing insights into the rich heritage and history of Rajasthan's railways.

Showcasing Rajasthan's rich heritage

This heritage train has the capacity to accommodate 60 passengers at a time. Its coaches are fully air-conditioned, featuring large windows on each side to provide passengers with panoramic views of the surroundings.

Passenger capacity and comfort

Passengers can enjoy breathtaking views during their journey, including Goram Ghat, often referred to as the Mini Kashmir of Rajasthan, and the Bhil Beri waterfall, the highest point of which will be on display.

Scenic route with spectacular views

The design of the train replicates the iconic 150-year-old steam engine, enhancing the nostalgia and charm of the journey through lush green valleys and hills adorned with flora and fauna.

Replicating the classic steam engine

The Valley Queen Heritage Train will depart from Marwar Junction at 8:30 am and reach Kamlighat at 11 am, with a 25-minute stop at Phulad. It will return from Kamlighat around 3 pm, reaching Marwar Junction at 5:30 pm. The train will operate four days a week.

Tickets for this heritage train are priced at Rs 2,000 per passenger, allowing a wide range of travellers to experience this unique journey.

BJP MP Divya Kumari expressed her appreciation for the train, sharing her experience of the inaugural ride. She highlighted the picturesque views and enchanting valleys of Goram Ghat.
