The Kanwar season is in full swing right now as the Hindu month of Saawan has started on July 4. The yatra will end on July 15 and about 15-20 lakh people are expected to cross Delhi till that time
According to the Hindu calendar, the holy month of Saawan holds a great religious significance month as during this time devotees of Lord Shiva worship and observe fasts on Monday to seek blessings of Lord Shiva and Parvati
Hindu mythology believes that at the time of ‘Samudra Manthan’, Lord Shiva drank the poison to save mankind. And to calm down the effect of poison, the deities and demons offered Ganga Jal to Lord Shiva to calm him down. Thus, the devotees do fasts to seek Lord Shiva's blessings for good health, prosperity, marriage, and success
The month of Sawan started on July 4 and will go on until August 31
People on Twitter gave mixed reactions to the video, one of the users wrote, “Viral hone ka matlab yeh nahin hai ke video achcha hai. This behavior in public transport is not correct.”
Is all this allowed? Are we secular only in preamble of the constitution of India?? And institutions of our state can be colored in some particular religions, are not they also and the environment therein also need to be secular..”
