Tennis player Novak Djokovic won the US Open to equal a record of winning 24 Grand Slams, set by former Australian player Margaret Court. Djokovic paid tribute to legendary basketball player and close friend Kobe Bryant, who died in 2020 in a helicopter crash. He wore a t-shirt, which featured his picture along with Kobe Bryant’s, the text ‘Mamba Forever’ and Bryant’s jersey number 24, which is also the number of Grand Slam titles that Djokovic has now won.
