The sixth episode of Shark Tank India 2 saw a bunch of entrepreneurs determined to make an impact and pitch their start-ups before the sharks
The first pitch saw Jyoti Bharadwaj pitching her healthy tea manufacturing start-up, TeaFit, before the sharks. Started in 2021, the start-up has been able to serve more than 20,000 customers across India
Jyoti Bharadwaj, a mother of two boys, brought her children along who also participated in the pitch. She also revealed that her mother-in-law invested Rs 10 lakh to kickstart the business
Jyoti Bharadwaj’s ask was investment of Rs 50 lakh for 3% equity at a valuation of Rs 16.67 crore
The sharks were impressed by Jyoti Bharadwaj’s pitch. Peyush Bansal, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh came on board for 8 per cent equity for Rs 50 lakh investment at a valuation of Rs 6.25 crore
The next founder who came to pitch was Aniket Doegar who launched Haqdarshak. The company has digitised resources containing government’s welfare schemes on its platform. Its tagline is ‘Sada Haq Aithe Rakh’
Aniket Doegar’s ask was investment of Rs 1 crore for 0.5% equity at a valuation of Rs 200 crore
The start-up won the hearts of the sharks. Namita Thapar and Aman Gupta came on board for Rs 50 lakh equity & Rs 50 lakh debt at 10% interest for a valuation of Rs 50 crore
Vittal Shetty, Saurabh Chaudhary & Bhaskar TR pitched Bhaskar’s Puranpoli Ghar. The company makes different kinds of Puranpoli, a traditional sweet dish, and sells through their own outlets as well as franchises
Their ask was Rs 75 lakh for 1% equity at a valuation of Rs 75 crore. The company failed to get funding but the sharks applauded the co-founders, especially Bhaskar TR, who showed great resilience in building it
