According to officials citing a US Government internal correspondence, Sonars placed on Canadian P-8 aircraft detected banging sounds every 30 minutes below the Atlantic Ocean. Science writer David Pogue, who had boarded the submersible for a report, months ago said that this isn’t the first time the Titan disappeared. During his experience, the vessel went missing for five hours. He wasn’t inside the submarine but while in the control room on the surface ship, he mentioned that there was no way to track the vessel

In one of his podcasts, David Pogue mentioned the multiple red flags around Titan submarine. He said that the vessel did not have an Emergency Locator Transmitter. The passengers have to sign a form stating "An experimental submersible vessel that has not been approved or certified by any regulatory body and could result in physical injury, disability, emotional trauma or death.”

According to a 2022 video of Titan, the missing Titanic submarine, the vessel has a single window, no seats and the passengers sit barefoot cross-legged on the floor. It has a toilet seat that uses a curtain for privacy. Notably, the submersible is navigated using a video game controller and is sealed with at least 17 bolts from the outside
