Deep Kalra
In 2000, Deep Kalra founded what has become India's largest e-commerce business - MakeMyTrip.com. In August 2010, it became the first Indian travel company to list overseas, through a successful initial public offering on NASDAQ. For four years in a row up to 2013, MakeMyTrip has been ranked among the 10 best companies to work for, by the Great Place to Work (in India) Institute. Besides steering MakeMyTrip, Kalra serves as President of the Delhi board of The Indus Entrepreneurs, and is closely involved with NASSCOM's Gurgaon Regional Council. Ernst & Young named him Entrepreneur of the Year - Business Transformation for 2011. In December 2012, he was named the most powerful digital influencer in India, in a survey conducted by Impact magazine in association with KPMG India. An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and St. Stephen's College, Delhi, Kalra has received many other honours as well.
