The second wave of Covid-19 has stopped us all from tiptoeing to our favourite destinations once again. However, the pandemic has definitely taught a large section of the population that exploring dream destinations through virtual experiences is a better option. After all, we are not compromising on health and safety.So, in case your travel-hungry heart was craving a trip to a scenic international destination, we have an idea for you. You can visit all these places right from your home. Yes, you read that right.
We have compiled a list of 10 destinations from all around the world that you can visit through a virtual experience, be it the Cherry Blossoms in Japan or Vineyards of Tuscany in Italy or Machu Picchu in Peru.

PATAGONIA IN ARGENTINA

Covering almost 400,000 square miles roughly one and a half times the size of the UK, this semi-arid plateau region located in southern Argentina will give you a panoramic view of snowy peaks with vivid flora and fauna. Cobalt lakes, azure-tinted glaciers, lush green trees, and turquoise skies stretch as far as the eyes can see.

FAROE ISLANDS

With a total population of around 50,000 people, this self-governed group of 18 volcanic islands is tucked between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic Ocean. Music lovers will be delighted to note that the region hosts five live music festivals throughout the year. But there's also no reason for which adventurers should stay back from climbing the steep cliffs, hiking trails, waterfalls, and rocky coastlines.

CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN JAPAN

People usually check online travel guides and choose to visit some popular landmarks or hop onto the speeding bullet train to travel across Japan. But a visit to the country particularly during the cherry blossom season, starting from April, will offer everything a tourist could possibly wish to see. SIFNOS ISLAND IN GREECE

Sifnos is a Greek island in the Cyclades island group. It's surrounded by sandy beaches such as Chrysopigi beach in the southeast, home to the striking white Chrysopigi Monastery. Sifnos provides a special treat to food lovers. Traditional Greek dishes, including Mastello (lamb cooked in a deep red wine and herb marinade) and chickpea croquettes served with a tangy yoghurt dip, amid an olive grove with the beautiful backdrop of the Aegean Sea will provide you enough memories which you can take back home wholeheartedly.

AMAZON RAINFOREST IN BRAZIL

Also known as 'The Lungs of the Earth,' the dense green Amazon rainforest in South America are spread across an area of 2,300,000 square miles and comprises about 40 per cent of Brazil's total area. The town of Manaus in northern Amazon is a gateway to many rainforest lodges. Here, the day begins with sheets of mist rising from the river water and ends with various sounds of insects and nocturnal creatures humming around your ears.

GIETHOORN IN NETHERLANDS

Located in the National Park Weerribben-Wieden, Giethoorn, also referred to as 'Little Venice' or the 'Venice of the Netherlands,' is about an hour-and-a-half drive from Amsterdam, and is renowned for being pretty owing to very few roads. The entire landscape of the village is a treat for the eyes for visitors as much of the village can only be traveled on foot or by boat.

There are more than 180 small bridges that connect every location in the village with each other. Thatched roofs of houses and cottages, along with stone footpaths and small cafes by the canal will make you feel as if you have stepped back in time.

AURORA BOREALIS IN NORWAY

Many are fascinated with Aurora Borealis, or the natural phenomenon of dancing lights during the nighttime in the Arctic sky. Between late September and late March, northern Norway remains dark from early afternoon until late morning, while the Northern Lights frequently soar across the sky. This part of Norway, along with its multiple islands, deep fjords and high mountains, makes it one of the most beautiful and interesting places to experience a spectacular beauty of nature.
