Among top four Indian FMCG companies, only HUL has posted a growth of 4.4 per cent in June quarter while other three registered negative growth on a YoY basis.
Total expenditure of top FMCG companies has also declined in June 2020 as compared to the same month last year. Among top four FMCG companies, Dabur India registered a de-growth of 11.07 per cent in June 2020 on yearly basis.
FMCG companies in India reported growth in their employee cost during the quarter. HUL reported a growth of almost 31 per cent in June 2020, while Colgate reported a growth of nearly 9 per cent.
Profitability of FMCG companies have contracted in June 2020. Among top four FMCG companies, two companies Colgate and Dabur have shown significant growth in profit before tax while other two companies ITC and HUL contracted by 34 per cent and 5 per cent, respectively.
