India received a total FDI inflow of $35.73 billion during April to August, 2020, the highest ever for first 5 months of a financial year.
Total FDI inflow of $35.73 billion in the first five months of FY21 is 13% higher compared to $32.6 billion investments in the corresponding period last year.
FDI equity inflows during the period is $27.10 billion compared to $23.35 billion in the year ago period, registering an increase of 16%.
Total FDI inflow grew by 55%, from $231.37 billion in 2008-14 to $358.29 billion in 2014-20.
FDI equity inflow also grew by 57% from $160.46 billion in 2008-14 to $252.42 billion in 2014-20.
