Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has undertaken a profound spiritual journey to the Mahakumbh, the world’s largest spiritual gathering in Prayagraj. Renamed 'Kamala' in spiritual circles, Laurene arrived in traditional attire, accompanied by a 40-member team, to participate in sacred rituals. A devoted follower of Swami Kailashanand Giri of the Niranjani Akhara, she took part in the coronation ceremony of Vyasanand Giri Maharaj and plans to observe the month-long Kalpvas discipline by the banks of the Sangam.
Her pilgrimage is also a heartfelt tribute to Steve Jobs’ spiritual quest in India in 1974, a transformative journey that deeply influenced his visionary path. Laurene’s visit beautifully intertwines technology and spirituality, honoring India’s rich traditions while remembering the legacy of one of the world’s greatest innovators.
